Not your Usual Heart Cake Pan

What a clever and adorable idea! Imagine the reactions of your guests when you cut the first piece of cake. I feel it is more unique than the typical individual heart cake pans. Just for the reveal, I want to add this cake pan to my bakeware. Besides Valentine’s Day, it would be perfect for a bridal shower or for Mother’s Day.

I spotted it at the global Muji shop. I did not find it on Muji USA. If you have any clues on where to find this scalloped round mold, please inform me. I want to get other options in case that I could not find any at the many Muji stores in Tokyo.

I think this pan comes from Demarle at Home. I just borrowed it from a neighbor to make a cake. It’s sold in party plan. Same company makes silpat. My friend sells it (it’s party plan). All product is wonderful.

Angela: It is almost that. To replicate exactly, we need the Flower mold in a 7-inch diameter format. The Flower mold by Demarle at Home makes the heart shape but the cake piece are too big. Thanks for introuducing me to this brand. They seem to make nice molds.

Oh, if you find one that can be shipped to the United States, would you please share? I love your site.

Have you seen the Kaleidoscope Heart Mold at ZandaPanda.com? It’s 9″ diameter and divides for 8 equal heart shapes. It is intricately designed on top which would give away the “reveal” but if iced over, perhaps that could be hidden?

Erin, thank you very much for the suggestion but I am looking for a cake mold for a cake without icing.

Kim have you found one yet? I would love to own this cake pan as well!

I emailed Muji here in the UK and they said they would look into developing it but had never seen it before

I found a mold you can all use!!! It is here: http://shop.demarleathome.com/categories/1039622269-flexipan-molds/products/879818038-flower-mold . It is called a flower mold, but has the round edges of the heart. This is a flexipan from Demarle at Home at you CAN bake cakes in it!

Jane, I think that you are right. This could work and create 4 heart cakes.
