I like the warmth of the wood decor backsplash against this modern sleek German kitchen. Browsing their collection, I get the impression that the backsplash is made of finely textured melamine resin, not wood. Regardless of what it is, it is gorgeous.

oooh that is nice! I’m sort of glad we wont be doing our kitchen for awhile, it’ll give me lots of time to figure out exactly what I want. This is definitely a great alternative to a wooden benchtop. Thanks for sharing! =)

The backsplash DOES look good – really adds a wonderful warmth and sense of texture to the clean lines of the European cabinetry and (what looks to be) stainless steel counters.
