Introducing the Modernism Art Wallpapers by Bradbury & Bradbury

Since the Holidays season is getting closer, I will talk more about interior design as many wish to update their home décor. I start with wallpapers.

Wallpapers as Temporary Decor

For an event, you can use wallpapers to create the right ambiance without gluing them to your walls. Think about how stores display wallpapers on their storefront windows for inspirations. You wish to create a theatre set not a permanent installation.

You can simply hang them from the top and let the roll fall down. Wallpapers can be used as a runner on a dining table or buffet table.

Four Modernism Collections

If you enjoy 50’s or 60’s modern style, check out the bold Mod Generation papers from the 1960s and the retro Atomic Age papers from the 1950s. Stay away for the Post-War Era papers from the 1940s unless you are doing a kitsch room.

For a glamorous masculine lounge with classic flair, check out the Art Deco designs from the 1920s and 1930s. The patterns are often reproductions of actual patterns of the time. Art Deco is not really my style but the picture is filled with the right elements. Since there are plenty of furniture with a mirror finish and home accessories in silver right now, you can easily reproduce this style.

The Stardust and the Aeroplane would be great for a boy bedroom. Architect Raymond McGrath designed Aeroplane in the early 1930s for “Rudderbar”, a house for a woman aviator.

Hand-printed Wallpapers

Bradbury and Bradbury Wallpapers are hand-printed at their California factory located in the town of Benicia. They used the silk screen printing, using a technique perfected by the wallpaper industry to produce highest quality handprint.

You can order samples online or call them to order whole rolls. Their studio is not open to the public.
