My husband bought the 2011 Baby Coin Set for our soon-to-be-born son when he went to the the post office this morning. It’s funny because I went yesterday and I almost did the same.
Made by the Royal Canadian Mint, each coin set includes Canada’s 2011 traditional uncirculated coins with a unique engraved design on the 25-cent piece! The main feature of this gift coin set is a special 25 cents coin with baby feet. It’s too adorable! When my husband came back from the post office, he said to me “Here is Zack’s first pay”. Or, we might start his first collection.
SOURCING:
+ 2011 Baby Gift Coin Set $19.95 CAD at Canada Post
+ 2011 Baby Gift Coin Set $19.95 CAD at Royal Canadian Mint

January 9, 2012 at 16:39Would like to purchase a 2011 baby feet coin for my daughter. If someone has one for sale at a reasonable price please contact the Canada Post Office In Delisle Sask. At 306-493-2946. Tell them you have a coin for Tony and they will contact me. This would make my daughter very happy and Dad would be popular too.

February 1, 2013 at 14:19Chris: It is not. The Royal Canadian Mint only carries the current year. There might be a secondary market for these collective coins but I don’t know any. So, if someone dear to you will have a baby in 2013 this is the time to buy it.
