Style Collective is a group of Canadian style bloggers, including myself, who decided to unite themselves to target advertisers and help each others to grow our blogs. To promote more interactions between our sites, we are launching a monthly column where we collaborate and write about the same topic. Style Collective is comprised of many fashion and beauty sites; therefore, you will see products different than my typical scope. For our first column, we shared our must haves for summer 2010.

This may be pure serendipity but we collectively suggested everything you need to host a stylish garden brunch. I imagined them in two different environments: an urban affair and a communal breakfast before a sporting event. I am glad to present you the talented members of Style Collective and their monthly selection.

For an urban brunch

+ Ali told us that she owed five dresses that are similar to the S/S2010 Dresses sold at French Connection. Via ChickAdvisor $138 CAD
+ The start up magnolia and lilac plant kits will make luxurious party favors. You can find them at Indigo for $22.99. This is the must-have of Alison of Gifted
+ You can never go wrong with a Chanel lipstick. This one is part of Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour $38. It was the must have of Michelle of Beauty Editor
+ My must-have is the Apple Pancakes Apron, which is an exclusively available at Anthropologie $44. I believe that a woman never has enough aprons. It is important to keep your dress pretty while you cook.

+ For an indulgence, the N.D.C. made by hand massika shoes at $325. They look comfy. This is a suggestion of Afiya of The Style House
+ Because powder is a must to fight the heat, gear yourself with the Blot Pressed Powder by MAC via BeautyGeeks $29. Like Janine, I enjoy the compact powder of Mac. I also enjoy Make up Forever, and when I wish to splurge, I go for Chanel. But one thing is for sure, you will always find a compact powder inside my handbag.
+ Catriona (a.k.a Coco) suggested the Light-Weight Utility Jacket by Talula. It will protect you before the sun is strong or at the end of the day. Via Coco & Lowe $125
