A dream shop for the foodies. It feels like a treat to visit the Quincaillerie Dante (the store is now 90% about cooking than anything else). A friend refers to it as the Ali Baba cavern for cooking in Montreal and she is right.

Check out the review I did on January 2008 when I ate there with my husband. In short, I love it!http://blog.kimvallee.com/archive/2008/01/14/having-breakfast-with-a-paparazzi-at-toast.aspx

Try the siphon coffee. It is the best coffee I ever tasted.

It is impressive that the oldest restaurant in San Francisco is still packed today. It dated from 1849, during the gold rush era. The decor has not been updated for many decades. People go for the food. I was hesitant when I saw the décor but I was happy when I got my plate. Plan to wait a little before getting your table since they do not take reservations.

I like the terrace and the large open window area where it feels good to eat. A great spot to eat when all the summer events (festivals) occur in front of the Complexe Desjardins

Like the old English style of this candy store. A place where to get higher quality candies that come from UK and Europe.

I went for the Sunday brunch. Delicious! The modern decor of the restaurant is warm and hip. There is also a fine grocery section that includes a few cooking gadgets. So you can stock a few hostess gifts after you eat. I will go back.

If you visit Whistler, set aside a budget for a dinner at the Bear Foot Bistro. It is a true indulgence that you should not forget.

A cute boutique with nicely decorated cupcakes. The cake taste is average.

A New Yorker brought us to Mandoo Bar. This is authentic Korean cooking. A cool place to eat lunch. Most dishes are under $10
