A few blocks further on Dante is Cafe Via Dante, a small unpretentious looking place with authentic food from Northern Italy. The rustic, simple décor is accentuated by the dark wood bar and chalkboards on the wall displaying the menu. Give the burrata cheese appetizer a try and the fresh luscious Italian cheese filled with cream is a definite must. The home-made pasta dishes are all good but the lobster ravioli with rosé sauce is a personal favourite, and so is the porcini risotto. The restaurant offers a daily special that is usually worth ordering. The wine list is short but well selected and the knowledgeable staff will help you pick a wine that matches your dishes well.
Open for lunch from Noon to 2:00 PM on Tuesdays to Fridays.
