I thought you would like to know where I usually go for brunch on weekends. Our usual places reflect my taste and my husband. As you will see, we tend to go often at the same places. You have to know that we avoid places where you will to wait in line for a while or places where parking is really hard to find.

My husband and I have breakfast at Laika almost every weekend. If you follow me on Twitter, you might have notice that I usually share a picture of my breakfast plate. I usually go for one of the 4 daily specials. Otherwise, I will eat an omelet. My husband like their trucker plate. There is no refill of coffee.

My husband and I go for brunch about every 2 months. We enjoy their breakfast menu with items that often change. When you order a breakfast, you get more than your plate. They will bring you a fruit salad in a tall shooter glass, creton (a pork paté typically of Quebec), a madeleine with jam. Coffee and tea comes with a piece of Sucre la creme, which is a traditional fudge from Quebec.

Can’t agree more about Le Cartet – the food is great (love how they serve mini glasses of compôte), and the atmosphere is always fun. For a hipster place, it’s also fairly child-friendly – they do have high chairs.
