I have just come across this site, and finding it interesting and informative.

There is nothing worse that you get used to a certain magazine and then it gets shelved, its very sad that this magazine had to fold, this is the first that I have heard of it and it did sound like a great mag, but here is to the new one to take its place.

Alas! Subscription land just won't be the same without my beloved Domino. Nothing else has ever fit quite so well. I suppose I will just have to cling to the past editions, like my favorite Chip N' Pepper jeans. I'm sure something else will come along, but will it ever be quite as good as Claire Danes in "My So Called Life"?
Architectural Digest may well be the 'sister' publication, but it is the older, much snobbier, sister that doesn't allow for glowing backlight and overexposed window panels to flood it's pages. Domino RIP - I will never forget you. xotynomite

Jennifer: I am also surprised hat Canadian magazines are not exported to the USA. Being neighbors, I thought this would be natural.

It is sad that so many of the good magazines are folding. I love Domino & have subscribed since they first published. When I discovered BluePrint, I was in awe. A descent design magazine that applies to the masses is hard. Yet you have magazines like Better Homes & Garden, who one, talk about everything under the sun, not focusing on one thing. And two, come out every month with sub publications on organizing, small rooms under a $100, etc, which is just a repeat of what they publish in their month mag. On another note, I wish I could find some place here that carried the Canadian House & Home, but I can never find it at Barnes & Noble. Britsh edition, yes, no Canadian edition. I am bummed.

I heard the news and was so sad. It's the only magazine I subscribed to - so filled with helpful information - great products - and decorating that made me re-think design options. I will miss you domino!!

:(

so very sad, Domino was great, and I loved their new book as well, so now I guess it will just be a classic....I do love blogs but there's something about the tactile glossy magazine that speaks to me..guess we'll have to keep on blogging to get inspired!
