Ginny: I supported your quest for price parity in Canada. These days before making a purchase, I ask myself if I am willing to wait until the Canadian prices go down. Slowly, we see retailers in Canada adjusting their prices which is encouraging. But most have still to change.

Thank you for pointing this disappointing fact about EQ3, I was not aware of it.

For everyone's information, EQ3 is not exclusively Canadian! While it is a Canadian Company, there are stores all over US and beyond. This may be vieweed as "Canadian Brands" to some, but rest assured most of their stuff is made off-shore. Also, given the state of the US dollar today (NOV 2007) it is disappointing that even EQ3 is still treating us Canadian buyers unfairly! Check out the different prices for the different furniture, etc. and you will find huge differences. What retails for around $999 in Canada, is available in the U.S. stores for around the $799 mark.
I want to spend my money in Canadian stores in Canada, but it is maddening that this is still happening.
