Ramona: There is no obligations to play a game. I have been at wonderful baby showers without games. If you have many guests, remember that the gift opening session could be long. I feel that a baby shower is like a first birthday party; plan for 2 to 3 hours at the max. The reason is that many of the guests are mothers and they cannot leave home more than that.

One option is best described as the sweet baby moment tree. It is great for starting a conversation and could become a part of your party decorations. Set up a clothesline or a fabric bulletin board where every guest displays a baby photo (of themselves or one of their children). One by one, you briefly share a sweet or funny moment about your babyhood.

I'm an expecting Mother and absolutely love the idea of having a baby shower with a French Toile theme. I especially like the fact that it is a non-traditional baby shower theme! Do you have any recommendations for non-traditional activties or games to entertain my guest? I absolutely refuse to play the typical baby shower games but feel an obligation to keep my guest entertained. Any suggestions?

Bonjour Marie-Eve,

The products that you like are from Caspari. It is widely available in kitchen and gift stores all over Canada and in Quebec.
Your best best is to find a retailer near you with a large selection. If they do not carry these models, ask them to order it for you.

Polka Dot design seems to only ship in the USA.

Love this style and ideas! Thanks!
It's inspire me for the next 1st bithday of my daughter next February. But, you are from Montreal, are you? If i want to buy on Internet from some web site that your theme is refering, could I from Quebec (Canada)? For example, Polka Dot Design ???

Thanks so much for the mention! I did a roundup of our environmentally conscious vendors, but I was unaware that Caspari was working to reduce their environmental impact. This post looks great and makes being eco-minded easy!
