ferm LIVING makes bold and beautiful wall papers and stickers

My love with Scandinavian design keeps growing and growing. The more than I see their work, the more I fall in love. New breeds of designers from Denmark, Finland and Sweden are mostly inspired by nature, colors and bold graphics.

I dream on visiting these countries. Since they are far apart in distances, the question becomes which country you visit first. My hubby and I are discussing Denmark or Finland. Let’s go back to the topic of my post.

Some people cannot live without wallpapers. I never have this urge because I was quite disappointed by their looks. Things changed. Over the past years, cool wallpaper designs have popped up all in Europe and North America. Wall stickers are a mainstream item since Home Depot carries them in store.

Well-executed, simple line designs inspired by nature or lifestyle seem to have my votes. I was in heaven this morning when I took a lot at the wallpaper and stickers collections from ferm LIVING. This young Danish company introduced its first commercial wallpaper collection in February 2006. And wow! I’m impressed. The people behind ferm LIVING has done advertising, graphic design and communication works for fashion and lifestyle companies. It shows in their designs.

decor8 gives good design tips on how to use these bold patterns on your house. They have to be used wisely to create a wow factor. Last December, design*sponge talked about ferm LIVING with lots of pictures.

I knew that ferm living was featured in Elle Decoration but this not know which one. It just saw them in the March 2007 edition of the British Elle Decoration.
